The Jim Clark Memorial Rally started for the first time from the City of Edinburgh, but the stages, as ever, were based around Jim Clark's home town of Duns. The Jim Clark was a round of the Peugeot 206 Super Cup, and ran as part of the International field. It was won by Enniskillen's Garry Jennings.
